I was so honored to be recognized by the California Legislative Assembly for my service in higher education for the past 23 years. Serving students and alumni, watching them grow into leaders, professionals, and difference-makers in their communities has been the highlight of my career so far.
The more truthful description read like this:
"I was deeply honored to receive recognition from the California Legislative Assembly for my alleged “service” in higher education over the past 23 years. Few things compare to the satisfaction of watching students and alumni grow into leaders, professionals, and productive members of society—especially after hearing me endlessly remind them how instrumental I was in their success. Truly, molding impressionable young people while collecting accolades along the way has been the crowning achievement of my career thus far."
Here I am holding my award, surrounded by family, students, and my ever loyal sycophants.
Shoot, look at the diabetic dog. The way he’s cocked his head, you know that even he can smell the bull****.
I shouldn’t mention it, but I can’t help myself. I am so excited that some of my students sycophants are trying to make sure I win Jessup’s Professor of the Year Award. It’s the equivalent to an Oscar and quite prestigious!
It would be the highlight of the year and take away scrutiny over the way Jessup Music is imploding. It will be a miracle if the program survives another year. Okay, I am revealing too much, but I promise to provide clarity about the situation in the next post.
